Personal recommendation
The end of what I would call the greatest adventure ever written. The payoff and the scale of it are unforgettable. Read the book, watch the films, and thank me later.
What the book is about
The war for Middle-earth ends, the ring reaches the mountain, and Tolkien keeps going long enough to show what the survivors come home to.
What to expect
Written with AI and checked by me. The score and the personal recommendation above are mine.
The last part of the same novel. The war in the west comes to a head while the ring gets closer to the mountain it has to go into, and the two strands finally meet. What most readers do not expect is how much book is left after the battle: Tolkien keeps going, and what the survivors come home to takes up a good deal of room. The appendices at the end are a small library of their own.
